House Pet Stain Removal
We love our pets; they bring joy, add comfort and become our true companions. The one part of pet ownership that isn't any fun is cleaning up pet stains from your carpet. Pet stain removal is not an easy task. To completely rid your carpet fibers of the stain, there are several steps you need to take to restore your carpet.
It is best to treat your stains when they are fresh and still wet if possible. If you are lucky enough to find the stain when it is new, immediately blot up excess liquid with a thick layer of paper towels and newspaper. If you are able to get under the stain, down to the carpet pad, try to do so. It is important to remove as much of the damp stain as possible prior to it drying. The more you can remove the dampness from the pet stain the better.

Re-layer the area again with paper towels and newspaper (over and under the stain if possible) and stand on the stain to remove any remaining dampness. Rinse the area with cool, clean water and repeat the soak up process until the stain is no longer visible and the smell from the stain is gone. This is not a fast process, but it is effective. Using a wet vac to soak up any water is helpful in this situation when it comes to cleaning tips & tricks.
If a pet stain has dried, than pet stain removal is more difficult. For set in stains it is a good idea to use a wet vac or an extractor. You can rent one if you do not own these systems. The wet vac and extractor will force clean water into your carpet and remove the dirty water back out. Again, water is man's best friend when it comes to pet stains. Good luck!
